We were recording the pilot for the new Culture Show yesterday. It was a lot of fun. We recorded 2 songs live, our current single, God and our next single, Bring You Down. It was good experience for us, being under the pressure of recording a live tv show with a live tv audience. Presenters Lauren and Nihal were very nice and we were well looked after by Cath and the rest of the Culture show staff so thanks to them and to everyone who came along to see the show. I dont think the show will be aired, as it was the pilot show, but we will try and get the footage of us playing and post it on the website or myspace as soon as we can.
Our next live performance will be at Camden Barfly on May 30th, as part of a fallout records night.

it’s not often i agree with Kev but god damn it he’s right. That MGMT album’s a brammer! i have a feeling it will be the sound of our summer.

Since the last time i blogged, 2 long lost cousins have been in touch to say hello. Suzie from Hong Kong, who i havent seen for years and Darcey from Austalia, who i havent ever met! So, hello back from Scotland. That crazy world wide web, i can never get my head round it? it’s always nice to hear from family.  i wonder if Lulu will get in touch as there is a possibility she’s my aunty?!

I was in charge of loading everything and everybody into the van this morning in order to start our journey south. Trying to get away on time was a nightmare, as my fellow band members and crewe operated a ‘leaving on time’ prevention policy, or so it seemed. Tim had to go to the Doctors (I didn’t enquire as to the reason why), and then he had to go and pick up a 4 plug adapter from the shop. Andy, the soundman further compouded issues by being a ‘good smartitan’ - He found someones passport on the street last night, so he had to go and find a police station to hand it in to. And, Colin had a very important package to pick up from the post office. I never did ask him what it was.
So we left 2 hours later than planned, hopefully we’ll still arrive on time!
